The Bride - Megan M. Laubacher
Although living in several other states for short periods of time, Megan has always called Ohio home.
Being the oldest of 5 siblings, she has been blessed with a large family and finds no greater joy than spending time with each and every one of them.
A graduate from Jackson High School and after a short time attending Kent State University, she was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to represent the city of Canton as the 2004 Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival Queen. During that whirl-wind summer, she served as a community liaison and partook in festival events and memories that will last a lifetime. It was truly a dream come true!
Shortly thereafter, she capitalized on the chance to join the Walt Disney World College Program, an internship held at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. There, she was a Cast Member in the quick-service food & beverage group at the Roaring Fork Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. During her residence, she met friends and roommates from around the globe, took a course called Organizational Leadership and was presented with a Guest Services Award. And getting to enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth on any given day was an added bonus!
Upon coming home to continue her college education, she instead chose a route to the restaurant industry which paired well with her love and passion for food and enjoyment with cooking.
Megan started working for Outback Steakhouse moving from serving to a certified trainer and eventually into a Management role.
For a short time, she left her restaurant field and was seeking fulfillment in the Real Estate world working with her Uncle for a small company in downtown Canton. Had it not been for that small diversion in her life path, she might never have met her future husband and love of her life, AJ.
Although she studied to become a Licensed Realtor, the roads led her back to working at Outback where she continued to grow as a leader and developed into a Senior Manager working with the company for nearly 8 years.
Because of her hard work and dedication, she was sought out by a new concept – MISSION BBQ. A company patriotic and proud, Megan came on board with the restaurant as their Community Ambassador and helped to establish a deep-rooted connection with the local area while continuing their MISSION to give back to American Heroes.
She assisted in the restaurant opening in Canton, the first location in the great state of Ohio and helped to build relationships with customers and members of the community that remain to this day.
She continues to work for the brand leading the Catering Concierge Team and overseeing 7 restaurant location logistics and orders for catering while working from her home office.
In her spare time, although it can seem few and far between, Megan loves to travel – road trips, cruises, international travel, or a walk to explore the unknown, she always enjoys a new adventure!
And her newest adventure she is most looking forward to is her new life with AJ!
